Description from the seller

Kodak Cartridge No. 4. First model of this early Kodak roll film camera, which was later also suitable for glass plates. This version dates from the early years 1897-1898, in which all metal parts are made of copper, whereas on models from after the turn of the century, these were nickel-plated. The red bellows are light-tight. The original shutter is also very early, does not even have a patent date yet, and is a so-called "triple action" shutter that still functions. This version is for roll film and still has the original wooden roll film spool. Backplate release is via a slide on the right in the barrel base. There is also a built-in tripod for vertical shots in the barrel base.
