This antique dinnerware is a collection of asparagus plates from the renowned French manufacturer Longchamp, specifically model "Velars." These plates are terre de fer (fine porcelain) hand-painted pieces, characterized by a multicolored floral design and a cobalt blue molded border with arabesque motifs and acanthus leaves. All plates are stamped with their authenticity registration.

These plates are exclusive for collectors and table art enthusiasts. They are not new, over 100 years old, retaining vivid tones in the pattern without cracks, with slight patina from age in the varnish and minor crazing and rubbing in the compartments due to their age and use.

These are antique asparagus plates made in Terre de Fer (ironstone) around 1915-1920. They feature a deep royal blue relief border and hand-painted very detailed floral motifs. They include a special compartment designed to hold sauce or butter when serving asparagus.
