Elegant French-made table clock from the late 19th century conceived in the Louis XV style with Paris mechanical movement and hour and half-hour strike. It approaches the style of watchmaker Henri - Charles Balthasar, who worked at the court of King Louis XV of France.
This model features a superb gold-bronze case characterized by a sinuous, violoncello-shaped silhouette. The ornamentation unfolds a profusion of vegetal motifs and chiselled scrolls, complemented by a lower cutout under the dial, as well as a top ornament in the shape of a richly adorned vase. The hands are of Louis XV cutout design on a white enamel porcelain dial with double numbering, protected by a glass door that can be opened, as well as the rear door to inspect the movement.
