Rare antique stereoscopic photographic camera « Le Glyphoscope » manufactured by Jules Richard in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century.
The Glyphoscope is an emblematic device of French stereoscopic photography. Designed both as a taking camera and a viewer, it allowed the creation and observation of relief images according to the stereoscopic process, very popular during the Belle Époque and the interwar period.
The offered model presents a beautiful old patina and retains its essential features:
• double frontal objective;
• upper viewfinder;
• black metal construction;
• mechanical controls present;
• original markings visible.
The device is sold in its found condition, untested with plates. The mechanisms appear visually complete but no guarantee of operation is provided given the object’s age.
