Description from the seller
: Vintage Zenith Table Clock / Alarm Clock – Fabrication Française – 1920s-1930s – Fully Functional
A rare and collectible mechanical table alarm clock, produced by the famous Zenith house. This piece bears the historical mark “Fabrication Française” on the back cover, being made in the interwar period (1920s-1930s).
Mechanical with manual winding. The clock is fully functional – both the running mechanism and the alarm (bell) start and work correctly. Note: It has not been tested over a long period for exact time accuracy or full autonomy of the spring.
Robust nickel-plated metal case, supported on two original spherical feet. Original dial with a distinctive patina, large Arabic numerals, upper sub-dial for seconds and lower sub-dial for alarm. Protected by an original domed glass window. At the bottom, the case features the original curved resonance slots for powerful sound propagation. It retains all the original marked keys ("Reveil" and "Mouvt"), the A/R adjustment lever and the chassis serial 23381.
Good vintage condition for an item almost a century old. The nickel-plated metal retains a beautiful shine, with only fine and natural signs of age. Important note for collectors: The top grip/support ring (handle) is missing (the grip on the top button is empty, as per the photo
