Rare Kuba earthenware currency from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, dating to the mid-20th century, weighing 1 g, 29 cm high by 1 cm wide and 1 cm deep, from a private collection, in excellent original condition.

Beautiful sun-dried clay currency covered in red pigment "tukula". The central part is magnificently decorated with incised motifs typical of the Kuba. Currencies of this type, rare, were reserved for the elite of the chieftaincies.
