Masao Gozu - New York - 2018

This is a special edition featuring Masao Gozu's early works.
In "Windows," the series that Gozu began photographing shortly after moving to Brooklyn in 1971, Gozu photographed people in New York's immigrant neighborhoods as they looked out of the windows of their apartments during a parade. The two other series included in the book are also portraits of life in downtown New York in the 1970s: in "264 Bowery Street" the series shows the glass windows of a bar and the guests seated behind them; black-and-white photos.
