Exquisite bronze seal stamp with a letter opener in the shape of a quill feather.
Finely crafted seal handle with a letter opener made of patinated bronze in the form of a realistically modeled nib. The artfully designed grip features organically evolving branch and root shapes and blends harmoniously into the quill. The square end plate recalls the form of historical seal stamps and gives the object its representative character.
Such high-quality desk accessories were very popular in the 19th century and belonged to the furnishings of refined salons, libraries & writing rooms of the era! The delicate detailing of the nib structure and the beautiful patina emphasize the decorative and collectible appeal of this piece.
