Description from the seller

Origin. Nigeria
Tribe name. Chamba
Material. Wood
Dimension. 42 cm
Shipping method. Colissimo within 24-48h, open.

Anthropomorphic figure carved in wood, characteristic of Chamba traditional art (people primarily located in present-day Nigeria).

Morphology stylized: The statue adopts a clean and geometric aesthetic. The body is relatively elongated with short, slightly bent lower limbs, giving the silhouette a certain density at the level of the legs and feet.

Head and face: The head is proportionally wide compared to the rest of the body. The face features simplified but expressive traits: eyes carved as circular shapes, a prominent nose, and a slightly open mouth. The ears are also represented schematically on the sides of the head.

Torso and anatomical details: The chest highlights a feminine breast. A notable feature is the presence of a clearly marked circular opening at the level of the navel, an element commonly found in certain ritual figurines.
