Splendid and elegant example of the Welta Penti I camera (often also referred to as Penti 0), produced in East Germany (GDR) by VEB Welta Kamera-Werke starting from 1959. This model is universally celebrated as a masterpiece of late-1950s industrial design, explicitly conceived for a discerning audience thanks to its sinuous and compact lines. The camera stands out for its refined color combination, marrying an anodized gold-colored aluminum body with a peripheral band in the splendid turquoise/aqua-green shade. Optically, it is equipped with the prestigious Meyer-Optik Trioplan 30mm f/3.5 V lens, renowned among enthusiasts for its vintage rendering and distinctive bokeh effects.
