A Chinese washbasin shaped like a curled lotus leaf. The inner surface in high relief, decorated with a white heron, a yellow lotus flower, and a brown flower bud with stippled stems; the exterior with incised leaf veins and green glaze with brown speckles. Originally used as a writing implement to wash brushes.
