Antique Chinese blue and white porcelain ink paste box and cover, dating to the Kangxi period, c.1662–1722.

The circular box is finely painted in underglaze blue, with the cover decorated with a central phoenix medallion within double rings and a geometric border. The sides are painted with auspicious objects and scrolling cloud motifs. The base bears a double-ring mark in underglaze blue.

Size:
Diameter 11.5 cm x Height 5.5 cm.

Condition: the cover is in excellent condition. The bottom section has two small flat chips to the inner rim and one flat chip to the foot rim. General age-related wear and minor firing imperfections. Please see the photo gallery for details.
