Camargue secrète by Lucien Clergue, first edition, French language hardcover with dust jacket, 112 pages, published by Pierre Belfond in 1976, in very good condition.
Description from the seller
Very beautiful book, large format (34.5 × 25 cm): Camargue secrète — Lucien Clergue (Pierre Belfond, 1976)
96 black-and-white photographs printed by heliogravure with magnificent blacks.
Condition: very good, note the dust jacket is worn and a corner knocked at the top left which has slightly marked all the pages (visible in the photos); apart from that, the rest—cover, binding and all pages—are in very good condition.
Camargue secrète is considered one of Lucien Clergue's major works devoted to his native region, the Camargue. Unlike his famous series of nudes or bullfights, this work is entirely devoted to landscapes, marshes, salt pans, wild expanses and the natural shapes formed by the Rhône, the wind, and salt. A sought-after work by collectors of French photographic books from the 1970s.
Book sent in a very careful package with insurance and tracking number.
