Magnificent solid 950/1000 silver cigarette case, total weight 206 grams, by Hénin & Compagnie, Parisian silversmiths active from 1896 to 1901.
Characteristics:
Minerve 1st title hallmark (Minerva's head with the number 1)
Silversmith's mark: H&Cie in a lozenge with a star
Guilloché geometric decoration evoking Art Deco avant la lettre
Functional clasp, very pleasant spring opening
Condition: Good overall condition, wear consistent with age. Secure closure.
