Description from the seller

Very beautiful and original siphon (soda siphon bottle) produced by Sparklets Ltd., based in Tottenham, London: the Sparklets Streamline Deluxe SG2 bottle. The bottle is almost 30 cm tall, and at its widest part it has a diameter of nearly 10 cm. The weight is almost 1 kg (930 g).

This bottle was produced between 1959 and 1966. There were versions with four green bands that leaned more towards the 1950s style, and bottles with red bands. The bottle features a typical Space Age design; you can clearly see the sleek streamline of an airplane (or rocket) in it—very beautiful!

The company went out of business in 1981, because the soda siphon market collapsed entirely. Today these bottles have become very popular again, and of course a vintage example like this is a real collector's item!

Although this bottle dates from the 1950s or 1960s, modern CO2 cartridges will fit in this bottle. NOTE: you do need the right size; you must have universal, screwless 8-gram CO2 cartridges (soda chargers).
You also need a separate cartridge holder to screw the CO2 cartridge into the bottle. Those holders are still widely available as aftermarket replacement holders, specifically made for vintage Sparklets/BOC bottles.

This beautiful vintage bottle still looks almost as new. There are hardly any signs of use visible; very special! You could polish or shave with the shiny chrome!

The siphon is carefully packaged and insured for shipment.

Seller's Story

I sell antiques and vintage items. The pieces I find or buy are always things I personally like and that are of high quality. My expertise lies mainly in items from the 20th century.
