Description from the seller
Tulip Table in Nero Marquinia Marble by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International
Iconic “Tulip” table model designed in 1956 by Eero Saarinen, a celebrated example of organic design inspired by natural, flowing shapes. This dining version, with a strong visual impact, features the unmistakable central pedestal base cast in painted aluminum, a solution conceived to eliminate the traditional four legs and confer maximal formal cleanliness and aesthetic balance.
The oval top is made of Nero Marquinia marble, characterized by a deep black background traversed by irregular white veining, making every piece unique. The generous dimensions further enhance the marble’s materiality and the harmony of proportions, making it ideal for modern environments, formal dining rooms, or prestigious professional spaces.
Produced by Knoll International. The table also bears the signature. It has been perfectly restored, as shown in the photos, and is solid as a rock. A true classic of twentieth-century design, still today a symbol of refinement and innovative planning.
Dimensions:
Height: 75 cm
Width: 245 cm
Depth: 138 cm
Code: TLM8419
