1 Sol silver coin of Peru, minted in 1889 at the Lima Mint.
Condition: MBC (VF)
On the reverse appears the Peruvian national shield with:
* The vicuña (or stylized llama, depending on the era of representation).
* The cinchona tree.
* The cornucopia spilling coins.
* * The legend: “REPUBLICA PERUANA – LIMA – 9 DECIMOS FINO – 1889”.
The inscription “9 Décimos Fino” indicates a silver fineness of 0.900 (90% silver).
On the obverse appears the allegorical female figure of the Republic seated beside a pedestal with the inscription:
* “FIRME Y FELIZ POR LA UNION”
* Face value: “UN SOL”
