Description from the seller
Elegant Center Desk in Spanish Renaissance Style – Walnut Wood – 20th Century
Refined escritoire (or center table) in walnut wood, characterized by a solid and elegant design that recalls the Spanish Baroque style, with the typical lyre legs.
The furniture features a rectangular top with a finely carved border in semicircular geometric motifs. The lower fascia houses two front drawers with original in-bronze metal handles. The distinctive element is the base: the shaped legs are connected by a central crisscross traverse with a wavy profile, which gives extreme stability and a strong decorative impact.
Thanks to its finish on all sides, the piece can be placed perfectly also in the center of the room.
Technical Details
- Material: Solid walnut wood.
- Era: Mid-20th century.
- Style: Renaissance / Spanish.
- Accessories: 2 functional drawers.
Conditions (Please view photos carefully)
The furniture is structurally solid and ready for use.
Top: It shows a beautiful natural patina with light signs of wear and small superficial scratches consistent with its age.
Structure: There are old woodworm holes (visible especially in detail photos DSC_0144 and DSC_0145), mainly located on the base and feet. The piece has been pre-treated, but the holes were left to attest to the piece’s authenticity and history.
Restoration: No structural interventions needed, only perhaps a wax to enhance the walnut’s luster.
