Up for auction, an exceptional and rare piece of German photographic history of great value: a folding-type plate camera produced by the renowned Linhof company of Munich, Bavaria (München). Founded by Valentin Linhof, the manufacturer is universally recognized in the collecting world for the superb quality and extreme precision of its large- and medium-format cameras. This splendid example is equipped with a prestigious Compur central shutter (f. Deckel), paired with a classic lens of 16.5 cm focal length and a maximum aperture of f/5.5. The body is a cassette-style design covered in black leatherette, with a front sliding system on metal rails and a tilting mirror viewfinder for overhead compositions. The overall cosmetic condition is very good, showing an attractive authentic patina of age that enhances its collectible and historical value.
