Hans J. Andersen Danish mid‑century modern three‑leg side table in teak, with a brown finish, measuring 44.5 cm high by 36.5 cm wide and 36.5 cm deep, dated to 1950–1960 and titled as a side/end table.
Description from the seller
An elegant and highly refined tripod side table designed by master cabinetmaker Hans C. Andersen in Denmark during the golden era of Scandinavian design (1950s/1960s).
This magnificent piece features a circular tray-top surface with a subtly raised, organically sculpted rim. The tabletop showcases an absolutely spectacular, deep and rich linear wood grain pattern, characteristic of the finest exotic woods sourced during the Mid-Century Modern period.
The sleek, tapered pedestal stem flows seamlessly into a beautifully sculpted three-legged tripod base, offering extreme visual lightness without compromising stability. The underside retains the perfectly clear and crisp original maker's stamp, guaranteeing its total authenticity: "Designed by Hans C. Andersen - Made in Denmark".
Condition report:
In very good structural vintage condition. The wood exhibits a beautiful color tone and natural patina. Completely sturdy and solid. As expected for its age, there is a minor, small mark on the outer top rim (clearly shown in the detailed photographs), which does not compromise the exceptional aesthetic value of this collectible piece.
