Antique study filing cabinet in walnut with front closure – Late 19th century
Elegant and rare Italian professional filing cabinet from the end of the 1800s, made of walnut with refined original brass hardware and distinctive onion-shaped feet with casters.
The piece features a slender profile and particularly harmonious proportions, with eight large drawers ideal for documents, collections, papers, photographs, or for contemporary use in a study and home.
Solid construction and artisanal quality, with construction details typical of Italian cabinetmaking at the end of the 19th century. Warm, authentic patina that gives great charm and visual presence.
During its long life, seven of the eight drawers have been rebuilt and replaced, in a harmonious and respectful manner toward the aesthetics and original characteristics of the furniture, preserving its formal balance and functionality.
Note the absence of the original lock, a circumstance that does not affect the usability and decorative value of the piece.
