GENERAL:
This beautiful and wonderfully driving Jaguar S-Type Sport 4.2 liter V8 with 219 kW (298 hp) was newly delivered in the Netherlands in 2003. The 2003 model year marks an important facelift for the S-Type, during which Jaguar significantly improved reliability and driving characteristics with a refreshed rear suspension and a more modern dashboard. The 4.2-liter V8 engine in this Sport version replaced the older 4.0 V8 and is known as a much more reliable and powerful unit, standardly paired with a smooth automatic ZF six-speed transmission. The mileage on this example is about 219,000 kilometers and is fully verifiable according to the NAP list (National Auto Pass). It is still a beautiful sight and has become a nice, financially attractive youngtimer that still attracts as much attention as when it was new. Some minor signs of wear are present. Driving this Jaguar puts a wonderful smile on your face; the excellent radio is actually not necessary once you hear the sound of this V8. The engine is subdued at low revs and sounds very nice when it gets a bit louder. The Jaguar has an MOT that is valid until August 6, 2026.
BODYWORK & PAINT:
The body is very neat with only very minor signs of use. The black metallic paint suits this Jaguar Sport very well and looks great. The left sill was repaired during a major service in 2022, which can also be seen in the invoice photo. The underside of the car is also neat, as shown in the photos.
MECHANICAL:
The car starts well, drives well, pulls well and brakes and shifts nicely. The air conditioning works excellently. The car is equipped with numerous extras such as power windows, a power-adjustable steering wheel, power-adjustable front seats, and a sunroof. There are a few technical points to note. An ABS sensor needs replacement, which by the way is not an MOT failure. At the moment the car displays a limited-performance message, probably due to this defective ABS sensor. Because the car has not had recent maintenance, a service is recommended before driving aggressively for extended periods.
INTERIOR:
The interior looks neat with some signs of use. The seat upholstery is fine and the door panels are in very good condition. A known S-Type issue is the headliner; it sags slightly and is currently propped up provisionally. Otherwise, it is a tidy car.
DOCUMENTS:
The mileage is fully verifiable; see the photos with the printout from the NAP list. The car can be supplied at an additional €50 with EU export documents, so a potential foreign new owner can easily register the car in his or her country. Additionally, the car can be supplied at an extra €70 with a printout of a COC / CVA type-approval.
