Description from the seller

Art Deco Stepped Letter Rack / Desk Organizer - Handcrafted From Precious Thuya Burl Wood - France, ca. 1930-1950

An elegant and decorative Art Deco stepped letter rack / mail organizer, beautifully handcrafted from luxurious Thuya burl wood.

This desk accessory features a classic modernist, tiered design consisting of four concentric semi-circular wooden panels that create a beautiful fan-shaped silhouette. The organizer is entirely made from premium Thuya burl (Tetraclinis articulata), a rare and prized coniferous wood native to the Atlas Mountains.

The wood is celebrated for its dense, contrast-rich grain, featuring intricate swirling patterns and characteristic golden-brown to deep orange-brown 'eyes'. The exterior has been polished to a smooth, warm satin-gloss finish that brilliantly highlights the natural beauty of the wood, while the understated profile blends effortlessly into both classic and mid-century modern interiors.

A high-quality and timeless piece of period desk barware, perfect for organizing letters, business cards, or displaying small vintage documents.

Product Specifications:
Style: Art Deco / Modernist
Materials: Premium Thuya burl wood (loupe de thuya)
Condition: Good vintage condition. The wood is beautifully preserved with a rich, deep color and a smooth finish. It shows only minimal, age-appropriate signs of use, with no structural damages, cracks, or repairs. Please inspect the photos for a detailed view.

The object will be packaged with care and shipped with a secure track and trace code.
