Description from the seller
RUSSIA. Saint Petersburg. 20 Kopeks. Nicholas II (1894-1917)
- Value: 20 Kopeks.
- Reign: Nicholas II (1894-1917).
- Year: 1914.

- Grade: MS65 (NGC).
Silver 20 Kopeks coin minted at the Saint Petersburg mint during the reign of Nicholas II, the last Tsar of the Russian Empire. The obverse features the crowned face value, surrounded by an open wreath formed by laurel and oak branches, of elegant and balanced design typical of early 20th-century Imperial Russian numismatics. The reverse shows the crowned double-headed eagle with the territorial shields of the Empire, executed with great heraldic detail and excellent relief depth. This specimen, certified MS65 by NGC, preserves an outstanding state of preservation, with nearly complete original luster, clean fields and sharp reliefs that highlight every element of the design. Struck in the year that marked the start of World War I, it represents one of the last silver issues of the Tsarist regime before the fall of the Russian monarchy in 1917.
