Statue, Bust of Antinus - 17 cm - Cold pottery

The bust of Antinous, a beloved figure of Emperor Hadrian of ancient Rome, is made using the cold-fired terracotta technique. This Western neoclassical piece is sculpted from a single piece of natural volcanic rock and then fired at high temperatures and painted with natural mineral pigments to create a vintage reddish-brown patina, giving it the texture of antique bronze.
