ROMAN GLASS BOTTLE STRONGLY IRIDESCENT WITH JANUS HEAD
Superb Roman anthropomorphic vase in green glass featuring a double Janus head.
The body is blown in a mold with two heads similar in face, a plump visage with dimpled chins and curly hair, the neck cylindrical with a long neck and a small rolled lip.
The bottle is covered with a layer of oxidation that is strongly iridescent in rainbow tones.
Dating to the 2nd / 3rd century AD.
Height 9.4 cm x width 4.9 cm - Perfect condition, no restoration
These flasks/bottles are extremely rare
