This Denon DRS-640 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B/C and HX-Pro noise reduction; it was first sold by Denon in 1993 with a suggested price of USD 300.
The main features of the Denon DRS-640 are:
Two heads, digital linear tape counter with 4 digits, automatic tape type selection and suitable for normal chrome and metal tapes, belt-driven and transport with single capstan.
Typically front-loading cassette compartment on the left side of the deck.
Tape loading/unloading is motorized and the cassette must be placed horizontally in the drawer.
The level meters used on the DRS-640 are generic digital peak meters.
Fully logical transport controls used on the DRS-640 provide responsive operation.
All major transport commands can be issued remotely with a wireless remote control; see photos for condition.
Dimensions: 44 x 12 x 31 cm, Weight: 5.4 kg.
