Description from the seller
classic Eumig P8 Phonomatic, a well-known 8mm film projector produced by the Austrian company Eumig. The P8 series was originally introduced in 1954 and was revolutionary at the time because it was the first home cinema projector to operate with an efficient low-voltage lighting system (12 volts, 100 watts). The "Phonomatic" version also offered the ability to synchronize the projector’s playback speed with an external tape recorder, making it possible to add manually sound or music to silent 8mm films. Key specifications Film format: Double 8 (also known as Standard 8mm); this is not suitable for the later Super 8 format. Lens: Equipped with a high-quality Eupro-Zoom f/1.3 lens (focal length 15-25 mm). Capacity: Suitable for film reels up to a maximum of 120 meters (400 feet). Projector speed: Variable, adjustable between about 8 and 24 frames per second (both forward and reverse). Lighting: Originally equipped with a special 12V / 100W bayonet lamp.
