Mesolithic bone tool named Mesolitisch benen mes, dating to the Mesolithic period (ca. 11,000–8,000 BC), crafted from mineralised dark brown bone and measuring 170 mm in height, 37 mm in width and 10 mm in depth, in excellent condition, with original authenticity, acquired in 2026 from the Netherlands from a private collection lineage.

Mesolithic bone knife (17 cm) – North Sea
This is an authentic bone tool (possibly a knife, scraper or awl) from the Stone Age (Mesolithic/Neolithic). The artifact was recovered in 1973 from the North Sea (the former Doggerland) and bears an authentic old collection label reading: "North Sea 1973-V’s".
Features:
Material: beautifully mineralized and dark brown discoloration of bone (originating from a prehistoric mammal).
Workmanship: clearly shaped by the prehistoric person with a sharp edge. At the top there is a prehistoric drill hole (the cord was later pulled through for display).
Condition: Excellent, sturdy and fully mineralized by the low-oxygen seabed.
Context: Comparable to the well-known early artifacts found at Maasvlakte and on the North Sea seabed.
A splendid centerpiece for a collection of early archaeology, Stone Age artifacts, or Doggerland finds.
