Mesolithic bone knife (17 cm) – North Sea

This is an authentic bone tool (possibly a knife, scraper or awl) from the Stone Age (Mesolithic/Neolithic). The artifact was recovered in 1973 from the North Sea (the former Doggerland) and bears an authentic old collection label reading: "North Sea 1973-V’s".

Features:
Material: beautifully mineralized and dark brown discoloration of bone (originating from a prehistoric mammal).
Workmanship: clearly shaped by the prehistoric person with a sharp edge. At the top there is a prehistoric drill hole (the cord was later pulled through for display).
