Lens: brass Ross Rapid Symmetrical 10 x 8 (high-quality)
Casing: very fine hardwood, lacquered
Fittings: brass
Bellows: leather, charcoal-colored
Ground glass at the rear
Accessories: lens - protective cap
Dimensions: height 22 cm / width 22 cm / depth 10 cm without lens, 16.5 cm with lens
Lens serial number: 34492
The Ross company was one of the most important manufacturers of optical lenses in England. In addition to its own symmetrical Anastigmat lenses, it produced licensed lenses from Zeiss and Goerz, which demonstrates the quality of production!
Condition:
The very high-quality wooden case is in good condition for its age (see photos) and shows only minor signs of aging/usage. The high-quality brass lens is clear and without scratches. The bellows are in good to very good condition. The brass fittings show slight signs of aging/usage.
