Description from the seller

This is a beautiful, clear close-up photo! Thanks to this image we can fully decipher the exact provenance of the hand mirror. These are the official British silver hallmarks:
The design (Reynolds Angels): The mirror shows the world-famous "Reynolds Angels" (angel heads), based on a painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds from 1787. This motif was incredibly popular on casket sets in the Edwardian period.
The Fineness (The Lion): The leftmost hallmark (the strolling lion, i.e., the Lion Passant) indicates that the mirror is made of sterling silver (.925 fine silver).
The City (The Anchor): The second symbol from the left is an anchor. This is the official town mark of the assay office in Birmingham, England.
