A three‑legged rustic milking stool in vintage style, dating from circa 1950–1960, carved in solid walnut wood, with dimensions 32 × 28 × 25 cm.
Description from the seller
Rustic tripod milking stool – Solid walnut wood with a seat crafted from a log cross-section (slice) – 20th Century
Incredible and fascinating rustic three-legged stool (tripod), historically used as a milking stool or rustic working seat. This piece stands out for the extraordinary uniqueness of the seat, carved directly from a transversal section of a tree trunk (slice cut with natural edge or live edge), which beautifully highlights concentric growth rings, knots, and the natural cracks of the wood. Unlike the more primitive models with rough branches, this exemplar mounts three stable, turned legs with ring-work, creating a refined visual contrast between the artisanal geometry of the legs and the wholly organic shape of the top.
Perfect today as a unique interior accent piece (side coffee table, nightstand, or plant stand) for interiors in Brutalist, Wabi-Sabi, Rustic styles, or to create a focal point of contrast in a modern setting.
