Decorative and important map of Denmark from the Golden Age of Dutch cartography by Willem & Jan Blaeu, c. 1640
The map depicts the Kingdom of Denmark, including Jutland, Zealand and Funen, as well as the neighbouring regions of northern Germany and southern Sweden. In the top right-hand corner is a magnificently coloured title cartouche, flanked by heraldic figures. The Danish royal coat of arms is depicted in the top left-hand corner. The sea is decoratively adorned with sailing ships. With French text verso.
