Description from the seller
For sale: Kenwood KA-801 vintage amplifier in excellent condition (original and serviced by an expert technician - TeleArt Verona - revision respectful of the amplifier's originality) to compose a high-quality analog system, including for vinyl.
Description: The Kenwood KA-801 is a vintage integrated amplifier (produced between 1979 and 1981) highly regarded by hi-fi enthusiasts, with a power of 110W per channel into 8 Ohms, Dual Mono (dual power transformers: this guarantees excellent channel separation and a substantial reserve of power). It is a High-Speed DC amplifier and can drive any loudspeaker. The sound is characterized as transparent, analytical, with exceptional control over the low frequencies, but with that warmth typical of 70s-80s amplifiers. Quality Phono stage with an integrated phono preamp section and noticeably superior to that of many modern amplifiers. Brushed aluminum front panel, analog VU meters, and toggle switches. Construction: Phono 1, 2 MM, Tuner, Aux, Tape Play A, B and Tape 2 DIN inputs.
Asking price and guaranteed with maximum seriousness. Shipping costs and responsibility for damages are at the buyer’s expense, although in-person delivery would be preferable given the size and value, with possible discount.
Available for listening from me. Available for video demonstration and interior photos.
Some minor signs of wear (top surface).
SPECIFICATIONS: Output power: 110 W RMS per channel into 8 ohms. Frequency response: 20 Hz to 20 kHz, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): 0.015%, Damping factor: 100. Speaker impedance: 4-16 ohms. Dimensions: 44 x 15 x 40 cm. Weight: 17.5 kg.
