Description from the seller
A rare and highly collectible antique automotive hazard/danger warning triangle, dating from the 1930s to 1940s.
Long before the introduction of modern plastic reflective variants, this early type of safety equipment was stored in the trunks of high-end pre-war and early post-war classic cars. The sign is constructed from heavy-gauge sheet metal, featuring an ingenious A-frame folding mechanism with a robust iron top hinge that allows it to stand independently on the roadside when opened.
The front displays the iconic bold exclamation mark warning symbol, which is beautifully hand-painted on a cream background with a deep red border. The reverse sides are finished in their original dark, textured protective paint.
This is an exceptional and authentic piece of automobilia, perfect for collectors, classic garage decor, or historic car owners looking to complete the period-correct emergency toolset of a vintage vehicle.
