French marquetry cabinet / chiffonnière in Louis XVI style, presumably early 20th century (circa 1900-1930). Handcrafted with dovetail joints, inlaid veneer work and bronze ornaments.
Elegant and very decorative half-round cabinet. This fine piece immediately catches the eye with its beautifully inlaid marquetry top featuring a geometric grid pattern and the refined finish around the drawers.
The cabinet features three drawers that are handcrafted with traditional dovetail joints, a hallmark of high-quality cabinetmaking. In addition, the piece feels noticeably heavy and solid, evidencing a sturdy construction and the use of high-grade materials.
The graceful bronze ornaments at the front and the elegant curved legs enhance the classic French character of this piece. Thanks to its compact size, the cabinet is versatile as a side cabinet, a bedside table, a hall furniture piece, or a decorative storage cabinet.
