The Great Faience Factory of Lunéville was founded in 1731 under the leadership of Jacques Chambrette. He built the Saint-Clément factory in 1758. Following numerous family and economic upheavals, Keller and Guérin acquired Lunéville Faience in 1888. In 1892 they acquired the Saint-Clément Faience. The two faienceries were reunited again. These faiences produced, among other things, shaped pitchers, floral canteens, and slipware piggy banks. In 1894 the factories employed 1,350 people. The number of shaped-pitcher productions was not very high, but their quality was exceptional and their pastel colors were very harmonious. Production of slipware pitchers faded after World War II.
