Nash poster, Type: poster, Model Geo Ham coupé, by Rougier, original from the 1930s, 86 x 62 cm, condition B.
Description from the seller
This very elegant and rare poster, created by artist Rogerio for the car brand Nash, presents their brand-new model: the Geo Ham coupé, a legendary model from the 1930s.
This poster also refers to the awards Nash achieved during the 1930 Tour de France Automobile.
The design is a particularly strong example of the French Art Deco period, with monumental typography, geometric architectural forms, and a stylized depiction of a Nash automobile. The composition perfectly reflects the industrial optimistic style of the interwar period.
The poster is printed on heavy, fibre-rich paper, whose natural grain is clearly visible. The present paper fibers, aging and patina bear witness to an authentic production from the first half of the twentieth century.
The black areas show a characteristic printing quality with visible halftone and texture effects that are typical of advertising posters from this period. The combination of solid ink flats, fine lines and grainy shadow effects creates a particularly powerful graphic result.
86 x 62 cm
Original condition.
The poster shows signs of use and aging appropriate for an object of about 95 years old, including creases, small tears, perforations, edge damages and light discolorations. At some point someone drew on the poster with black marker. These marks contribute to the authentic character of the poster.
Shipped insured with track and trace. No frame included.
