Original SOLEX carburetor advertising poster France, Rogerio, circa 1925–1930
Rare original French advertising poster for the legendary Solex carburetor, designed by Rogerio and issued in the interwar period, circa 1925–1930.
This poster promotes the technical qualities of the Solex carburetor, at the time one of the most renowned carburetors in the European automobile industry. The design presents an elegant display of a chassis equipped with a Solex carburetor, surrounded by visitors who admire the technology. The slogan emphasizes that the presence of a Solex carburetor is a sign that the maker wanted to build a reliable and practical car.
The poster also refers to Goudard & Mennesson, based in Neuilly-sur-Seine, the historical firm behind the Solex brand.
