A beautiful rust-free Mercedes 230 SL from 1966. American version with manual transmission. We have had the car for 10 years but drive it too little. Easy to drive with power steering and power brakes. All inspections allowed. Viewings and test drives in Broek op Langedijk. Appraisal report ( Euro 87,500) available.
CAR BODY AND PAINTWORK:
The body is tight. The sheet metal lines up well. Good seams. No dents or rust or unevenness. The car was repainted some time ago (before we became the owners) and is still in very good condition. With good gloss. No imperfections or filler stripes. The doors and engine hood and trunk lid all fit properly on the car. Chrome work looks good. Summer roof still needs to be mounted. With winter roof.
TECHNICAL: The car is 70 years old and shows normal signs of use. All mechanicals work properly, such as power steering and brakes. The car remains at a good temperature. Last year the radiator was replaced.
All gauges work properly, up to the light in the glove compartment. The car brakes well and true. The car tracks well. Tires have sufficient tread depth. No vibrations. The car has always been maintained by a retired mechanic.
INTERIOR: shows normal signs of use. It is complete. No tears or holes. See also the photos. Automatic antenna. All instruments and switches work properly. The clock does not work.
There are 2 keys with the car. Mats are in good condition and not worn.
DOCUMENTS: There is a folder with invoices and previous work. We bought the car with this folder. We have added a few parts ourselves, such as the steering column switch, door hinge, center console, chrome parts including front and rear bumpers, some chrome strips. Rear light rims to be rechromed (samac!). Of course all license documents are complete. Tax-exempt for road tax. No APK requirement.
PICK-UP: Preferably in Broek op Langedijk. The car can be viewed there on the bridge. Test drive possible. All inspections allowed.
Other information: in 5 years we have driven only about 2,000 km. Too little time to use it properly. The car is stored with other cars in a warehouse and takes up (too much) space. The car has 2 owners and one wants to cash it out. Appraisal report of Euro 87,500 is available for inspection. Can also be emailed.
