Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Glunz 120 roll-film camera from the 1930s, tested and working, in good condition, with an Anastigmat f/4.5 10.5 cm lens and a shutter functioning from 1/25 to 1/100 s, noted as a relatively rare model.
Description from the seller
An offering of a relatively rare Glunz folding film camera from the 1930s.
According to the big camera bible McKeown's, the following information is provided:
The company was originally founded in 1889 by Glunz and Bulter. This partnership remained until 1904. They produced glass plate cameras.
From 1904 the collaboration with Bulter ended and it became the name Glunz & Sohn.
Glunz & Sohn remained in business until the 1930s.
Their last catalog was issued in 1932 and after that date there is no information about the company anywhere.
Presumably only a few folding camera models were made by the firm Glunz, and they are indeed relatively rare.
To my knowledge, no one has ever offered one on Catawiki.
The offered camera is in nice but used condition.
But a metal lip is missing that serves to keep the camera upright.
All glass of the Anastigmat f4.5/10.5cm lens is intact. No scratches, no cleaning marks, no haze or fungus inside.
The aperture works perfectly from f4.5 to f25.
The shutter works at all speeds perfectly from 1/25 sec to 1/100 sec, B and T.
The bellows are light-tight with no tears or pinholes.
Opening and closing the camera works very smoothly.
To pull the lens out of the camera via the sliding rack, one holds the camera in the left hand and pushes the silver-colored tab/button under the lens slightly to the right and simultaneously pulls the tab/button as far as the user wishes.
This charming collectible and relatively rare camera should definitely not be missing from your display cabinet or camera collection.
The fact that this camera is almost 100 years old makes the collecting value and worth even greater.
I have set a reasonable and relatively small starting price of €79 for this particularly beautiful camera.
So bid €79 and the camera might become yours.
The camera will be carefully and securely packed and shipped with a Track & Trace number and insurance.
NOTE:
I always ship my goods with Track & Trace number and insurance to cover potential damage and theft.
If you cannot agree to this, please do not place bids.
Thank you in advance.
