Coffee and tea service (20) - Porcelain

The item up for auction is an exceptional pre-war coffee-and-breakfast service for 5 people. The set comes from the flagship stylistic line in a neobaroque, organic form with wavy rims and delicate reliefs on the edges. The pieces are adorned with a deep emerald green blended with intricate multicolored bouquets of flowers seen in the reflection on the saucers. The rims and the distinctive handles are finished with subtle, hand-applied gilding. On the bottom there is the original, under-glaze signature SORAU with a crown and shield, the series name, and a number. The service is almost 100 years old and highly sought after on the market. Pay attention to the photos – the sugar bowl has been repaired, the lid of the pot has a small crack. The listed signs of use and minor blemishes are a natural consequence of the advanced age of this nearly century-old antique service. Look carefully at the pictures. Despite these small traces of history, the service is absolutely beautiful and still looks exceptionally impressive on the table or in a display in a cabinet.
