JVC JR-S300 mark II receiver, manufactured in 1978, in very good physical condition and fully functional after professional testing, weighing 10.7 kg with dimensions 50 cm W x 33.5 cm D x 16 cm H, one piece, no extras.
Description from the seller
A special and highly high-quality receiver from JVC. The design in 1978 was downright revolutionary and still looks modern in 2026. The excellent build quality guarantees a musical experience that, almost 50 years after production, is still very good. The receiver has been checked by a qualified technician and is fully functional. As a precaution during this inspection, all tube lamps were replaced with new units (including the blue sleeves).
With 2 x 65W (at 4 ohms) the receiver has enough power to drive even demanding speakers. The pre- and power amplifier can be separated, an option that only the top models of the JR series offer. The same applies to the combination of VU meters and tuning meters.
The JR-S300 MK2 has a well-known flaw: the collar that fixes the lower of the inclined tuning wheel of the tuner is made of a metal alloy that over time can flake away. In this specimen sits the rather modest aluminum collar that at the time was installed by JVC under warranty. This collar is indestructible and guarantees a smoothly turning and play-free tuning wheel for decades to come.
JR receivers are becoming increasingly scarce, and this is especially true for a beautiful example from the higher class. A chance therefore to acquire something special!
