A distinctive, small-scale Art Nouveau pewter inkwell of elegant and finely detailed craftsmanship, produced by the Argentor Werke Rust & Hetzel workshop in Vienna.

The piece is richly decorated with flowing, organic motifs typical of the style and features a graceful female form. Marked “281 AW” on the base of the inkwell and “528 ARGENTOR AS14” on the back of the support leg.
