Up for auction is a museum-quality, heavy vintage prunk bowl made of Murano glass from the 1950s.

This is a masterful original from the famous "Bizantino" series (often known under the popular trade name “Tutti Frutti”).

This is a historically documented design by the renowned manufacturer A.Ve.M. (Arte Vetraria Muranese) from circa 1953.

Special quality features & details for collectors:

A spectacular, highly complex composition of unordered, filigreed Zanfirico rods, white latticinio network, sparkling inclusions of genuine silver and Aventurin (copper glitter) as well as dense color inclusions.

Typical Murrine:
In total, 11 star murrines (Murrine a Stella) are embedded. The six clearly visible examples show the characteristic, slightly irregular and organically polygonal form of early, authentic handmade production. The remaining five murrini are artfully distorted in the dynamic throwing and formation process at the furnace – a fantastic testament to freehand craftsmanship before 1960.

Base & Form:
The bowl appeals with its rare, dynamic asymmetric freeform (organic leaf shape/oval) and the wavy rim.
The underside consists of a deeply luminous, solid ruby red (overlaid glass / cased glass).

Condition:
Absolutely flawless, pristine condition. No chips, no flakes, no flea bites.
