Holy Family - polychrome plaster - France or Belgium - early 20th century.
Professionally shipped – more than 900 five-star reviews worldwide.
Representation of the Holy Family with Mary, Joseph and the Child Jesus. Mary is seated on a garden bench, while Joseph stands next to her with a lily staff as a symbol of purity. The Child Jesus stands between both figures and makes a blessing gesture. The group is placed on an elaborately worked base with flowers and ivy. The original polychromy with gilded details has largely been preserved.
Height approx. 41 cm; in good condition with normal signs of aging and use. The face of the Child Jesus was restored in the past. Furthermore, light wear to the polychromy and some small damages.
