Art Nouveau pewter pitcher by Jean-Maurice Pétizon, known as Petiz (1855-1922). The handle features a naiad motif (a water nymph) and is decorated with cherubs playing with birds in a nest and sleeping peacefully.
Beautiful brown patina.
Signed "Petiz" under the handle, marked "Étain Garanti pur" (Pure Pewter Guaranteed) under the base.
