Dutch Art Deco side table from the Amsterdam School, dating to the 1920s, in oak with coromandel details and black feet, 60 cm diameter and 65 cm high.
Description from the seller
Dutch Art Deco / Amsterdam School Side Table in Oak, 1920s
A very decorative Dutch Art Deco side table from the 1920s, made in oak with black-stained feet, coromandel droplets around the top and a star-shaped veneer pattern on the top.
The design has the warm, expressive character of the Amsterdam School period: a round top with a carefully composed geometric surface, a subtly carved edge, strong straight legs and small black ball feet that give the table its playful architectural finish. The lower stretcher has a gentle wave-like profile and a small circular platform at the centre, adding rhythm and refinement without making the piece too decorative.
It is a very usable size: large enough to function as a side table, occasional table or small centre table, but still elegant and easy to place. The contrast between the warm oak, darker veneer and black details makes it a wonderful accent piece in both classic and more modern interiors.
Condition
Good vintage condition with small signs of age and use. Minor wear, marks and patina consistent with age. The table stands stable and sturdy.
Shipping
Shipping costs are higher because the table exceeds certain measurements which makes it expensive to ship. Please choose pick up if you prefer a courier delivery, arrange your own shipment or if you would like us to arrange a professional crated shipment at costprice
