A beautifully atmospheric French milking stool, dating from the 1960s to 1970s.
This is a larger and more elegant model than the usual low farm stool, with a round seat raised on tall conical legs. The silhouette is simple but full of charm: three long splayed legs, a thick circular top, and fine incised line details running around both the seat edge and the legs. Those small decorative rings give the piece just enough refinement.
Made in solid wood, with a warm honey-brown tone and a rich, lived-in surface. The stool has that wonderful balance between rustic utility and decorative presence. It works beautifully as a small side table, plant stand, bedside accent, bathroom stool or sculptural country-modern object in an interior.
