Mask - Wood - Cloth - Senoufo - Mali - 60 cm.

A very elongated primitive Senoufo mask.
Consists of a rounded, protruding forehead followed by a long stylized face.
You can see four square holes on each side of the central axis.
A large mouth slightly open at the bottom of the mask.
Around the rim of the mask there are multiple holes where a fabric trim is fixed with a cord.
The crusty patina shows the age of the mask.
It comes from the village of Zegoua near Sikasso in Mali.
Good condition.

Masque primitif Senoufo trés allongé.
Formé d'un front bombé arrondi suivi d'un long visage stylisé.
On peut voir quatre trous carré de part et d'autre de l'axe central.
Grande bouche entrouverte sur le bas du masque.
Sur le pourtour du masque apparaissent de multiples trous ou est fixé avec une corde un bourrelet de tissus .
La patine crouteuse montre l'ancienneté du masque.
Il provient du village de Zegoua prés de Sikasso au Mali.
